Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd Respondent to dispose of the Revision petition dated 18.08.2014 filed under Section 153 of Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act 1983 r/w 169 of Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Rules 1988 against the order passed in Election Dispute Petition No.5 of 2013 on the file of the 3rd Respondent within time stipulated by this Honourable Court. ORDER
The prayer in the Writ Petition is for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to dispose of the revision petition dated 18.08.2014 filed under Section 153 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act 1983 r/w 169 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Rules 1988 against the order passed in Election Dispute Petition No.5 of 2013 on the file of the third Respondent within time stipulated by this Honourable Court.

2. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the revision petition of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4. In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue involved, the second respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the revision petition of the petitioner dated 18.08.2014 on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
