This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to hold fresh selections in order to select the players for the "SGFI"(School Games Federation of India) State Selection for 2015-2016 for "kabadi" under 17 boys in the presence of three(3) individual experts who were not participating in the selection progress which took place at Nanjappa MPL Boys Hr. Sec. School, Thiruppur on 04.10.2015 and consequently to include the petitioner in the "SGFI" State Level Team if found fit. ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to hold fresh selections in order to select the players for the "SGFI"(School Games Federation of India) State Selection for 2015-2016 for "kabadi" under 17 boys in the presence of three(3) individual experts, who were not participating in the selection progress which took place at Nanjappa MPL Boys Hr. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Sec. School, Thiruppur on 04.10.2015 and to include the petitioner in the "SGFI" State Level Team, if found fit.
2. Mr.V.Muruganantham, learned additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.
3. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
4. Though very many contentions have been raised in the Writ Petition, at the time of making submissions, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had already given a representation to the first respondent on 12.10.2015 and if a direction is given to the first respondent to consider said representation, that would suffice.
5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the averments made in the Writ Petition, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.10.2015, and pass appropriate order, on merits and in accordance with law, by affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
