: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the body of the petitioner's husband namely J. Venkat Kumar-detenu, S/O. Jeganathan aged 36 years before this Court and set him at liberty.

*********** [Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

2. The present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the body of the petitioner's husband, namely J. Venkat Kumar-detenu, S/O. Jeganathan aged 36 years before this Court and set him at https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

liberty.

3. The petitioner is the wife of the detenu, and she lodged a complaint with the third respondent Police that her husband is missing since 25.03.2017. The complaint given by the petitioner has been registered in Crime No. 550 of 2017 under the caption "Man Missing."

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submits that a complaint has been lodged against the petitioner's husband/detenu in the Koodal Pudur Police Station, Madurai District, on the ground that he has cheated a sum of Rs. 26,00,000/- from the finance company where he was working. Further the learned Additional Public Prosecutor produced a sealed cover containing certain receipt books, which have been sent to the Police by the detenu.

Thus, we find that there is no illegal detention. Therefore, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
