PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, 2023, to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No. II, Dindigul, to complete the trial in C.C. ORDER

The present petition has been filed by the defacto complainant in C.C.No. 460 of 2010 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Dindigul, seeking expeditious disposal of criminal proceedings. 1/4

2. The petitioner herein had earlier filed Crl.O.P(MD)No.9406 of 2010, before this Court to complete the trial in C.C.No.460 of 2010. This Court by an order dated 17.08.2010 had directed the trial Court to give top priority to the case and dispose of the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that despite the passage of 15 years, so far, the trial has not been completed. Hence, the present petition.

4. Considering the earlier order passed by this Court on 17.08.2010 and the pendency of C.C. for the past 15 years, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Dindigul, to dispose of the case in C.C.No. 460 of 2010 on or before 31.08.2026, and submit a report to the Registry.

5. With the above said observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
