For Respondent : M/s.P.Kottai Chamy, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.283 of 2021 on the file of the Respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/sole accused apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 420 I.P.C, in Crime No.283 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing on 12.05.2021, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the matter may be referred to the Mediation for settling the issue. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the matter was also referred to the Mediation Centre and interim protection was also granted.

3. After getting interim order from this Court, the petitioner has not taken any steps to resolve the issues. The matter is kept pending for the past four months.

4. Considering the conduct of the petitioner in obtaining an interim order of protection by submitting that there is a possibility of settlement and thereafter not taking any steps to resolve the issue, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh application, if so advised.
