ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation / complaint dated 12.03.2026.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that petitioner was defrauded by the private respondents herein to the tune of Rs.63,80,220/-, pursuant to which, he had lodged a complaint before the second respondent police, which was not duly attended by the second respondent police, following which, he had filed a petition in Crl.M.P.No.1063 of 2025 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai, wherein the second respondent police was directed to conduct necessary enquiry, following the mandates of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the cases of Arnesh Kumar v. State of Bihar reported in 2014 (8) SCC 273 and in Lalita Kumari vs Govt.Of U.P.& Ors., reported in AIR 2014 SC 187. Pursuant to the said order, the petitioner was required by the respondent police for enquiry and the petitioner had also appeared on 26.12.202 and 10.01.2026. However, enquiry is not yet concluded sofar.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that the matter is freezed by the second respondent police and the same is still pending.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either sides and carefully perused the materials placed before this Court. Since no adverse order is proposed to be passed against the private respondents, notice to them is dispensed with.

5. Considering the fact that the second respondent police has initiated enquiry, the second respondent police is directed to conclude the investigation with regard to the representation / complaint made by the petitioner dated 12.03.2026, as expeditiously as possible within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. 24.03.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Sm 3/4
