: Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondent herein to produce the body of the detenu namely Minor Gowsalya, aged 17 years, the daughter of the petitioner kalaimani herein before this Hon'ble Court and further hand over her to the petitioner's custody.

O R D E R

*********** (Order of the court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.) The petitioner, namely, Kalaimani, the mother of the detenu, namely, minor Gowsalya, has come to this Court, seeking a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondent to produce the person or body of her minor daughter before this Court and to hand over her to the petitioner's custody.

2. When the matter came up for hearing on 17.05.2017, the detenu was secured and produced before us. After a formal interrogation with the detenu, the detenu declined to go along with her parents. Therefore, we directed the Registry to send the matter to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre, attached to this Bench and also directed to list the matter before this Court.

3. When the matter came up for hearing today, Mediation Report is filed before us stating that the detenu Ms.Gowsalya agreed to go along with her parents and the parents also agreed to look after her continuation of education. 4. Recording the said statement, this Hapeas Corpus Petition is closed, directing the detenu to go along with her parents.
