Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner seeks to be provided with electricity service connection for the petition mentioned house. The learned standing counsel for the respondents states that there are quite a few statutory impediments for accepting the petitioner's request. For instance, the land on which the construction has come up belongs to the petitioner's brother. It has not been transferred to the petitioner in the manner known to law. On the strength of an unregistered settlement deed, the petitioner is said to have put up the construction. Unless the petitioner complies with the legal formalities, it is not possible for this Court to grant relief. 3.Leaving open the petitioner's rights to regularize what has already happened, this writ petition is dismissed.
