This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct third respondent police to give police protection to the petitioner and his family members life and limb based on the representation dated 24.07.2020. 2.Today, when the petition is came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, on instructions, would submit that the complaint of the petitioner has been received by the third respondent and based on which, an enquiry has been initiated in C.S.R.No.248 of 2020. He would further submit that during the time of enquiry, it is found that the dispute between the petitioner and the fourth respondent is civil in nature. Hence, both of them suitably instructed to approach the Civil Court and thereafter, the complaint given by the petitioner has been closed.

4.In the said circumstances, in the absence of any complaint on the file of the third respondent, it is not appropriate to give direction for giving police protection to the petitioner.
