Mr.A.U.Ramanathan, learned Standing Counsel for Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, takes notice for the respondents. With the consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2. Mr.Thirupathi, who is serving as Assistant Executive Engineer / Maintenance in Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Thoothukudi Circle, has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the third respondent to consider his appeal, dated 04.05.2015, preferred against the punishment imposed by the second respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that if the petitioner's appeal is not decided at the earliest point of time, his further promotion would be affected.

4. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's appeal, dated 04.05.2015, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
