O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to instruct the 2nd respondent police, not to harass the petitioner and his family members under the guise of enquiry without due process of law, on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 26.02.2025.

2.According to the petitioner, he purchased a car from one Vimal for valuable consideration and thereafter, he transferred the ownership of the car in accordance with law. While so, the previous owner of the car involved in the case in Crime No.8/2024, for that the second respondent called the petitioner for enquiry and already he appeared for enquiry and explained all the things and produced all the relevant documents. However, the second respondent is frequently calling the petitioner for enquiry purpose. Therefore, the petitioner sent the representation dated 26.02.2025, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the 2/5

respondent police would submit that originally, one vimal who is the owner of the car bearing Registration No.TN 95 H 7667 and thereafter, as against Vimal, a case in Crime No.8 of 2024 was registered for the offence under Sections 408, 420, 465 and 477A of IPC and during the investigation, the said vimal gave a confession statement that the car has been handed over to the petitioner. Therefore, for investigation purpose, they called the petitioner. If the petitioner produces the available records in respect of the car, then the respondent police will consider the same. Apart from that, they have not harassed the petitioner as alleged by him. 4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition, recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.

Side), this Court directs the petitioner to appear before the second respondent on 12.04.2025 and to submit the records in respect of the car bearing Registeration No. TN 95 H 7667 and thereafter, the second respondent has to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 26.02.2025, within a period of one week there on, in accordance with law.

5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
