*********** [Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.
2. The present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the husband of the detenu, seeking a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body of the detenue, Sundareswari @ Subathra [30 years] from the illegal detention of the respondents 3 and 4 and set her at liberty. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. This Court, by order dated 20.04.2017, directed the matter to be placed before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre, attached to this Bench, to arrive at an amicable settlement between the parties. The report of the mediation has been received, which states that the mediation did not succeed between the parties.
4. Today, the detenu is present in Court. She has stated that proceedings for divorce have already been initiated before the appropriate forum.
5. In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication in the Habeas Corpus Petition. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
