DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN., J AND R.POORNIMA.,J This Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant six days emergency leave without escort to his father namely Andivel(Life Convict Prisoner No. 3200),son of Kamatchi, aged about 65 years, who is confined at Madurai Central Prison for performing his mother's First year Death Anniversary Pooja Ceremony on 1.4.2025 and for repair work to the damaged house under Rule 6 of Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982 by considering the Petitioner's representation, dated 18.3.2025 in accordance with law. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent-Police 2/5

states that the said request of the Petitioner was duly considered by the Prison Authorities and rejected on 27.03.2025, since the prison rules does not permit emergency leave for attending the anniversary death ceremonies.

4.Taking note of the fact that the Petitioner's representation has been duly considered and rejected by the Prison Authorities, nothing remains to be adjudicated in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed.
