2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is involved in the criminal case in Crime No.68 of 2018 alone and hence, the petitioner is not a habitual offender. In this regard, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 19.04.2021, to remove his name from the history sheet to the fourth respondent. Since the said representation is pending for consideration, the petitioner is constrained to move the present petition before this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side.

4. Though the prayer in this writ petition is for a larger relief, the learned counsel for the petitioner has confined his argument to the limited extent of directing the fourth respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 19.04.2021, expeditiously.

5. Considering the limited prayer now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, the fourth respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 19.04.2021, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
