Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for the "Cock Fight" in Arulmigu Sri Muthumariyamman Temple festival at Batlagundu, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District from 26.05.2022 to 28.05.2022 on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner dated 18.04.2022 and 24.04.2022.

ORDER

(Made by R.VIJAYAKUMAR,J.) 1.

This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus to grant permission and police protection for "Cock Fight" in the temple festival to be held between 26.05.2022 to 28.05.2022. The petitioner has also given representations to the respondents on 18.04.2022 and 24.04.2022.

Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instruction submitted that, the representation of the writ petitioner has been rejected on 28.04.2022 and a copy https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.8691 of 2022 thereof was also given to the petitioner. Thus, learned Special Government Pleader submits that nothing survives in the present writ petition.

In view of above, writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the said order dated 28.04.2022, if so advised. No costs.
