Respondent PRAYER: This petition is preferred under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent/police herein (i.e.) the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Kovilpatti, Tuticorin District to file final report pertaining to the petitioner complaint, dated 16.04.2015, which was registered in Crime No.12 of 2015, under Section 498(A), 494 IPC pending on the file of the respondent/police herein and pass such further or other orders as this Court deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case. O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this criminal original petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking direction upon the respondent Police to file a final report in Crime No.12 of 2015, before the concerned forum within a stipulated time.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. A perusal of the F.I.R would go to show that it was registered on 27.11.2015, for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A) and 494 I.P.C.

4. Going by the nature of the allegations, this Court is of the view that it will take some time to complete the investigation by the respondent. Hence, the criminal original petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation, in Crime No.12 of 2015, and file a final report https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

before the concerned jurisdictional Magistrate Court, as expeditiously as possible.
