ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Srirangam, to dispose of the case in S.T.C.No.252 of 2021, within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner is the sole accused in Crime No.146 of 2019, for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(i) of IPC, which was registered by the respondent on the basis of the complaint lodged by one Baskaran. After completing the investigation final report was filed before the concerned Court and taken cognizance in S.T.C.No. 252 of 2021. Now it is pending before the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Srirangam. Thereafter, so far no progress in this matter. Hence, seeking speedy disposal of the same, this petition has been filed. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the respondent police is ready to complete the trial process before the trial Court within a time stipulated by this Court. 2/4

4.In view of the undertaking given by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, to expedite the trial process in S.T.C.No.252 of 2021 pending on his file and dispose of the same, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
