ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the jurisdictional civil Court erroneously executed a sale deed dated 22.12.2014 in favour of the third respondent.

W.P(MD)No.9186 of 2022 3.According to the petitioner, as per the compromise arrived at before the Lok Adalat in O.S.No.467 of 2004 on 09.09.2017, the said sale deed is liable to cancelled.

4.It is a well settled that a Lok Adalat award is capable of being executed like any decree. The petitioner has to necessarily file an execution petition before the jurisdictional civil Court for enforcing the said Lok Adalat award. Filing a writ petition does appear to be appropriate.

5.Granting liberty to the petitioner to file an execution petition for enforcing the aforesaid Lok Adalat award, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
