ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to expedite the appeal petition preferred by the petitioner in Na.Ka./A3/887/2020 dated 21.10.2021, which has been transferred from the file of the third respondent, seeking issuance of an individual patta in the petitioner's name in respect of the patta land comprised in Survey No.111/6, Mettupatti Village, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.
3. According to the petitioner, he is the lawful owner/entitled person in respect of the patta land comprised in Survey No.111/6, Mettupatti Village, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District. The petitioner preferred an appeal
petition in Na.Ka./A3/887/2020 dated 21.10.2021 before the competent authority seeking issuance of an individual patta in his name. The said appeal has since been transferred to the file of the second respondent. Despite the lapse of considerable time, the second respondent has not disposed of the appeal petition, causing undue delay and hardship to the petitioner. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents submits that the petitioner's appeal dated 21.10.2021 will be considered and disposed of within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to all the parties concerned, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
