ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to issue OBC Certificate to the petitioner.

2. According to the petitioner, he proposes to apply for the Union Public Service Commission examination, for which the production of an Other Backward Class (OBC) certificate is mandatory. In this regard, the petitioner had submitted an application seeking issuance of the OBC certificate. However, the respondents have not issued the said certificate till date. Aggrieved by the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing in the forenoon session, this Court directed the learned Special Government Pleader to ensure issuance of the OBC certificate to the petitioner, in view of the necessity of the same for applying to the aforesaid examination. 2/4

4. Thereafter, when the matter was taken up in the afternoon session, the learned Special Government Pleader submitted that an income certificate has already been issued and that the OBC certificate would be issued to the petitioner.

5. In view of the above, this Court directs the third respondent to issue OBC certificate to the petitioner within three days from today.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
