ORDER

This petition has been filed praying to direct the respondents to provide adequate personal security and police protection to the petitioner based on the representation made by the petitioner on 08.06.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. According to the petitioner, he made a representation, dated 08.06.2018 to the respondents seeking for police protection to the petitioner. As no order has been passed in the said representation, the petitioner has filed this Criminal Original Petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner is pending with the second respondent and the same will be considered in accordance with law.

5.In the light of the above, without expressing any opinion on merits, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 08.06.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the aforesaid directions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
