ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who is arrayed as Sole Accused, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294 and 506(ii) of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, in Crime No.101 of 2021 on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 06.05.2021, at about 8.30 p.m., when the defacto complainant was present in the scene of occurrence, the petitioner abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and also threatened her with dire consequences. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a senior citizen and the petitioner's son is a Panchayat President. Only due to the election motive, the defacto complainant foisted a false complaint against the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that already there are three previous cases against the petitioner in Crime Nos.54 of 2019, 23 of 2020 and 586 of 2020. The investigation in this case is also in progress. Therefore, he strongly objected for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and also considering the fact that the petitioner is having three previous case to his credit and the investigation is also in progress, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
