Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to remove the encroachment made in the original Survey No.186, namely "Pandithakudi Kulam", situated at Lakshmanapatti Village, Kulathur Taluk, Pudukkottai District based on the petitioners representation dated 03.03.2026, and consequently, restore the Water Tank to ensure the free flow of water, within such time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER
Heard the learned counsel for the petitinoer and the learned Special Government Pleader for R1 to R5. Issuance of notice to R6 is dispensed with.
2. The petitioner is a resident of Lakshmanapatti Village. He alleges that the petition mentioned water body has been wrongly classified in the official website. Hence, this writ petition has been moved. He points out that there are encroachments in the water body.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader conceded that the petition mentioned water body is wrongly classified in the website (Tamil Nilam) and that error will be corrected very shortly. It is further undertaken that if there are encroachments in the said water body, action will be taken as per due process of law to have the same cleared.
4. Recording the stand of the official respondents, the Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
