: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent / The Tahsildar, Papanasam Taluk for surveying the petitioner's land in Survey No.334/1C2B to an extent of 0.40.5 Ares (1 Acre) situated at Kabisthalam Village, Papanasam Taluk, Thanjavur District under section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within the time stipulated by this Honourable Court.

The petitioner prays for Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to conduct survey based on his application dated 15.11.2024. According to the petitioner, the date of survey was fixed on 10.04.2024, but however, survey was not conducted. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition. 2.Today, the Writ Petition is taken up for admission. Learned Government Advocate submits that for want of police protection, the survey could not be conducted. However, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submits, independently he has made an application to the police authorities and necessary charges for providing police protection has also been remitted by the petitioner. 3.Considering the above, there can be no issues for the authorities to proceed to conduct survey and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 15.11.2024.

4.The Writ Petition is therefore, disposed of, directing the respondent to conduct survey and pass orders on the petitioner's survey application dated 15.11.2024, after giving advance notice to the jurisdictional police officials, to enable them to provide necessary 2/5

police protection at the time of survey. The objections, if any, of the petitioner's brother shall also be considered before the respondents proceed to conduct survey. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
