ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 5 to consider the representation dated 13.02.2026 and, consequently, direct them to remove all encroachments or illegal constructions, including extensions, in Natham Survey No.233/1Street and Natham Survey No.233/21D1, Kalankudiyiruppu Village, Udangudi, Thiruchendur Taluk, Tuticorin District. 2.The main grievance of the petitioner is that additional construction in the existing temple, allegedly proposed by the respondents 6 to 11, may obstruct the public pathway. Accordingly, the petitioner seeks a direction to prevent such construction.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1, 3, and 4, on instructions, submitted that the temple is situated 3/6

in Survey No.233/1, which is Natham land, whereas Survey No.233/21D1 is a public pathway. Both parties appeared before the Peace Committee, where it was agreed that no construction would be undertaken in the pathway. The petitioner also signed the minutes of the Peace Committee Meeting, which has been placed before this Court.

4.In view of the above, it is made clear that no further construction shall be undertaken in Survey No.233/21D1, and no extension shall be made in the existing temple that obstructs or blocks the public pathway.

5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. [N.S.K.,J.] [M.J.R.,J.] 25.03.2026 NCC : Yes / No 4/6
