ORDER:- These Civil Revision Petition coming up for hearing under the caption ' for extension of time' and upon perusing the earlier order of this court dated 30.03.2023 and the requisition letter submitted by the Principal District Judge, Madurai, vide the letter in D.No.8322, dated 30.10.2023 and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.A.Kannan, Additional Government Pleader for the 1st Respondent, Mr. P.R. Prithiviraj, Advocate for the 2nd respondent, Petitioner has not appeared in person or by an Advocate, this Court made the following order: C.R.P(MD)Nos.856 to 858 of 2019 were disposed of on 30.03.2023 with a direction to the learned Principal District Judge, Madurai, to dispose of the appeals within the period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
2. The learned Principal District Judge, Madurai, has sent a letter dated 30.10.2023 to the Registry seeking further time of six months to dispose of the appeals. The Registry placed the said letter before the Court along with its note.
3. On a perusal of the same, it appears that a copy of the order of this Court was received by the Principal District Judge, Madurai on 03.05.2023.
4. Considering the reasons stated in the letter dated 30.10.2023 of the learned Principal District Judge, Madurai, this Court is of the opinion that it is appropriate and reasonable to extend the time for further six months to dispose of the suit. 2/3
