ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to expedite the disposal of the case pending before the learned Special Judge for the Special Court for the Trial of Prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Tirunelveli in Spl.C.No.3 of 2018 & 5/2019 & 6/2019 in Crime No.5 of 2014 on the file of the respondent within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the cases in Spl.C.No.3 of 2018 & 5/2019 & 6/2019 on the file of the learned Special Judge for the Special Court for the Trial of Prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Tirunelveli, pending from the year 2018.

3. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that trial commenced.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the learned Special Judge for the Special Court for the Trial of Prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Tirunelveli, is directed to expedite the trial and complete the trial process in Spl.C.No.3 of 2018 & 5/2019 & 6/2019 in Crime No.5 of 2014 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any problem arises, the trial Court is at liberty to approach this Court for extension of time.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
