The Warden, Government Observation Home, East Boullward Road, Near Murugan Theatre, Trichy. : Respondents This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the first and second respondents to produce the body or person of the petitioner's younger daughter by name Jothilakshmi aged about 17 years before this Court and hand over custody to the petitioner.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J) Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner is the mother of the detenu, who was in the third respondent Government Observation Home. According to the detenu, the petitioner mother compelled her to get married and therefore, she called Child Help Line and she was lodged in the Government Observation Home. Today, both the detenu and the petitioner are present and the detenu is ready to join with her mother and her mother is ready to continue her education and not https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

compelled her to get married.

3. Ms.T.Ranjitha Priya, Superintendent of Government Observation Home, Trichy is present before this Court. We have also requested her to discretely monitor as to whether the interest of the detenu is safeguarded and she is permitted to pursue her studies.
