Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the respondents to produce the person or body of the detenu, namely Raman, aged about 57 years son of Edumban before this Court, who is now detained in the Central Prison, Trichy in pursuant to the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent in P.D.O.No.15/2017, dated 02.05.2017 and to call for the records and quash the same and release the detenu at liberty forthwith.

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention, dated 02.05.2017 in Detention Order P.D.O.No.15/2017, detaining her husband as "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(b) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and the Tamil Nadu Prevention of dangerous activities of Bootleggers, Cyber Law Offenders, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual-Offenders, Slum-grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 14/1982).
