O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the second respondent police not to harass the petitioner in the guise of enquiry.

2.Today, when the petition is came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first and second respondents would submit that in earlier, based on the complaint given by the third respondent, the second respondent herein initiated an enquiry against the petitioner in C.S.R.No.370 of 2020, dated 07.06.2020. During enquiry, both the petitioner and the third respondent appeared before the second respondent police and in respect to the money sent by the son of the petitioner, who is the husband of the third respondent, the petitioner agreed to pay a sum of Rs.6,000/- per month to the third respondent towards maintenance. Both of them agreed for the above said terms and thereafter, the said enquiry has been closed. He would further submit that as of now, no enquiry is pending on the file of the second respondent police.

4. It is made clear now that the complaint has been closed, the second respondent police shall not call the petitioner in the guise of enquiry and harass him.

5.With the above observations, this criminal original petition closed.
