This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Inspector of Police, Perumalapuram Police Station, Tirunelveli City to expedite the investigation and file the Final Report in Crime No. 709 of 2023 pending on his file.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No. 709 of 2023 and for the same, investigation is almost completed. Hence, he seeks one month time to file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

3.Considering the limited prayer sought for in this petition and the investigation is almost completed and the respondent police also seeks one month time to file final report, the respondent police is directed to file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of one month from the date of this order. 2/4
