O R D E R
The Writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to pay the arrears of salary and bonus for the period from 13.01.2008 to 14.02.2013 due to the petitioner with 12% interest till the actual date of disbursement. 2.It is an admitted case of the petitioner that she was working as Typist in the office of the Public Prosecutor, Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai on daily wages. The case of the petitioner is that she have been continuing in service without any break. However, from 13.01.2008 to 14.02.2013, the salary and bonus have not been paid to the petitioner and several proposals have been sent to the 1st respondent for the said payment, for the duties discharged on consolidated pay. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the present Writ petition. 3.Today, Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that proposal has already been forwarded and he also produced a letter dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
21.04.2015 addressed by the Additional Secretary to Government stating that the payment of pending salary of the petitioner as Typist on contract basis is under consideration of the Government and hence, the petitioner is entitled to for the aforesaid amount. 4.In view of the same, the respondents are directed to consider the proposal and sanction the arrears of salary and bonus to the petitioner for the period from 13.01.2008 to 14.02.2013 within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, failing which, the amount due and payable to the petitioner shall carry 6% interest per annum from 14.02.2013 and the interest portion shall be recovered from the officials concerned.
