This writ petition is filed challenging the final assessment order. Admittedly, as against the said order, statutory appeal lies before the appellate authority namely, the Executive Engineer. Therefore, when an alternative remedy by way of an appeal is available, filing the writ petition challenging such final assessment order, cannot be entertained.

2.Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed without https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ going into the merits of the matter, only on the ground that an effective alternative remedy is available to the petitioner by way of

filing an appeal. The petitioner is given two weeks time to file an appeal before the appellate authority from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous petition is closed.
