ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 2. The third respondent is said to be no more.

2. The petitioner is occupying the petition mentioned premises and he is running his office. The petitioner is an Advocate. At present, the premises enjoyed by the petitioner is not having any electricity service connection. In fact, the premises itself is without any connection. If the petitioner is the owner of the building, this Court can unhestitatingly grant relief. That does not appear to be the case. The petitioner has also not recognised anyone as his landlord. In these circumstances, I can only permit the petitioner to apply for being provided with service connection of the petition mentioned premises and direct 2/4

the respondents to consider such application on merits and in accordance with law. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter.

3. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
