PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to produce the body or person or petitioner's son namely K.Arulkumar, son of Karuppasamy, aged about 25 years and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the father of the detenue seeking to produce the alleged detenu, namely K.Arulkumar, son of Karuppasamy, aged about 25 years, before this Court.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Cr.No.99 of 2024 has

been registered as 'Man Missing'. During the course of investigation, it came to light that there was a money dispute and the petitioner has questioned the detenu, thereby, he left the home without informing the family members.

3. He would further submit that the investigation is going on and the respondents are taking steps to find out the whereabouts of the alleged detenu. As and when the detenu is secured or traced, it will be intimated to the petitioner.

4. Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition is closed with a direction to the respondents to continue the investigation in accordance with law. [A.D.J.C., J.] [K.R.S., J.] NCC :
