ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 02.03.2026, seeking rectification of mistake in his grandfather's name in the Patta bearing Patta No.2122 in respect of their property comprised in Survey No.979/4 Sevugampatti Village, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District, as Muthukamu Servai S/o Kumarasamy instead of Muthukamu Pillai S/o Muthukamu Pillai other reliefs.

2. Originally, the property belonged to the petitioner's grandfather, Muthukamu Servai, son of Kumarasamy. However, the respondents have erroneously recorded the name as Muthukamu Pillai, son of Muthukamu Pillai, which is incorrect.

3. The competent authority to rectify the error, which has occurred during the UDR scheme, is the second respondent. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application and pass appropriate orders in 2/4

accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
