O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition with the prayer to quash the impugned order of the second respondent dated 08.05.2012 and consequently to direct the respondent to appoint the petitioner as Grade II Police Constable for the year 2002-2003 with effect from the date of appointment of his batchmates of the year 2002-2003 with all consequential monetary and service benefits and consequentially direct the respondents to convert him from Armed Reserve to Taluk Police with due seniority.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents that by proceedings of the Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar District, Virudhunagar dated 31.08.2018 the petitioner herein has been appointed as Grade II Police Constable with effect from the date of appointment of his batchmates and all other eligible benefits due to him is also ordered to be sanctioned to the petitioner. The said proceedings is also received by the petitioner.

3.In view of the above submission, nothing survives for further adjudication in this Writ Petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. However, it is made clear that if the petitioner is aggrieved by the said proceedings, it is open to the petitioner to challenge the same in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
