ORDER
The writ petition has been filed for the following relief:- "Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to follow the scheme as per the G.O(MS)No. 198 Home (Transport-I) Department dated 28.04.2025, G.O(MS)No. 113 Home (Transport-I) Department dated 04.03.2026, Receive the objection from existing operators, publish the gazette notification in 1st respondent office board and inspect the routs under the Tamilnadu Motor Vehicle Rules, and stop the new permits in served routs by considering the petitioners representation dated 12.03.2026 and pass such other or further orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of this case and thus render justice."
2. Heard Mr.T.Padmanabhan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Thambidurai, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that when the respondent authorities are considering the grant of routes and permits under the new scheme, they are bound to follow the mandatory directions that are issued in the above Government Orders 2/6
which include receiving the objections from the existing operators and considering the same on merits and also conducting inspection on the routes etc.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that due procedures required are being duly followed. If the petitioner's objections have been received, the same will be considered in accordance with law. The inspection has also been duly carried out, and further proceedings are underway.
5. In view thereof, as the proceedings are underway, this Court is inclined to observe that the respondents shall process the matter strictly in accordance with the applicable rules. The respondents shall also consider the petitioner's objections with reference to his representation dated 12.03.2026 and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a web copy of this order, without waiting for the certified copy of this order. It is needless to mention that an intimation for personal hearing shall be issued to the petitioner and other similarly situated persons. After hearing all concerned, appropriate orders shall be passed.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
