O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

2.Today, when the petition is came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that on receipt of the complaint from one Valliammal, the second respondent police conducted an enquiry and registered a case against the petitioner in crime No.771 of 2020 for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 294(b),323 IPC r/w Section 4 of Prohibition of Women Harassment Act.

3.In such circumstances, once a regular FIR is registered, question of 'not to harass' will not arise. If any direction is given in favour of the petitioner at this stage, it will amount to interference with the investigation conducted by the second respondent police. Hence, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
