ORDER
Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for R1 to R5 and the learned Government Advocate for R6. Issuane of notice to R7 to R9 is dispensed with.
2. The petitioner alleges that in S.No.1 of Anikkani Village, there are encroachments and in S.No.115 of Valaramanickam Village, there are encroachments. He would also claim that illicit sand minning is taking place.
3. We called upon the authorities to file a detailed status report. The Monitoring Committee has submitted its report dated 26.03.2026. It is stated that Survey No.1/1 of Anikkani Village has been classified as river poromboke. There are encroachments and the same would be removed within a period of three months by adopting due process of law. It is further stated that the committee has not found any evidence of illicit sand mining. We accept the report of the monitoring committee. We direct them to abide by the undertaking given by them.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
