(Order of the Court was made by M.DURAISWAMY.,J) The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal, dated 20.02.2017, filed against the order dated 27.01.2017, passed by the second respondent, forthwith.
2. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has filed the appeal before the first respondent as early as on 20.02.2017, the first respondent has not disposed of the same yet. The learned Counsel further submitted that in view of the long pendency of the matter, the petitioner is put to hardship and prejudice.
3. Mr.R.Murugan, learned Additional Government Pleader, taking notice for the respondents, submitted that the first respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal in accordance with law within a time frame.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned Counsel appearing on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, we direct the first respondent to dispose of the appeal, dated 20.02.2017, filed by the petitioner as against the order of the second respondent, dated 27.01.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
