O R D E R

*********** [Order of the Court was made by R.SUBBIAH, J.] The present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the mother of the detenu, seeking a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the person or body of the detenu, namely, Priyatharshini, aged about 19 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. According to the petitioner, her daughter is studying B.Sc. Chemistry at Syedthammal Arts College, Ramanathapuram. She is aged about 19 years. After completion of her semester examination, she returned back home and doing domestic work as usual. On 07.05.2017, at about 12.00 P.M, the mother of the detenu left the house for purchasing household articles. When she returned back https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

home, she found that her daughter/detenu was missing from home. In this regard, the petitioner made a complaint before the second respondent. On receipt of the said complaint, the second respondent police registered a case in Crime No.205 of 2017 under Woman Missing case.

3. Today, when the Habeas Corpus Petition was taken up for consideration, the second respondent police produced the detenu. On enquiry, she has stated that she is willing to go along with her mother.

4. In view of the above statement made by the detenu, nothing survives for adjudication in the Habeas Corpus Petition. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
