ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to provide employment to the petitioner on compassionate ground, by considering his application, dated 18.03.2014.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The case of the petitioner is that his father, who was working as a Health Inspector in the Government Primary Health Centre, while in service, passed away. Seeking compassionate appointment, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondents on 18.03.2014. Since the same has not been considered by the respondents so far, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits.

5.In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 18.03.2014 seeking for compassionate appointment and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
