ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J) The petitioner is the mother of the detenu. The second respondent police produced the detenu who was confined in a destitute women home. After speaking to the detenu, we were surprised to note as to why the detenu had to be sent to a home, especially when the petitioner/mother was the complainant, who lodged a complaint against one Marudhu stating that he had intimacy with her daughter/detenu.
2.The detenu has narrated a different story before us making certain serious allegations against the police officials attached to the second respondent. She further states that she is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
willing to join her mother and request that appropriate protection may be given to her and her mother against the atrocity meted out by the said Marudhu of Kalavasal.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submits that the said Marudhu has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
4.In the light of the stand taken by the detenu, we direct the detenu to join the petitioner/mother and if there is any interference by the said Marudhu or persons known to him, the petitioner is directed to lodge a complaint before the All Women Police Station at Samayanallur and if such complaint is given, the police shall immediately take action against him/them and proceed in accordance with law.
5.With the said direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
