PRAYER: Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to rectify the extent specified in Patta No. 3125, Punjai Survey No. 2232/3C, Thimmarasanaicknoor Bit-2 Village, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District, by revising it to 93 cents instead of 81.51 cents considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.01.2023 within a period that may be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court. The petitioner has sought for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to rectify the extent specified in Patta No.3125, by revising it to 93 cents from 81.51 cents. The petitioner has given a representation for such correction as early as in 02.01.2023.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the second respondent Revenue Divisional Officer, is the competent authority to address the grievance of the writ petitioner. 2/5

3.In view of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 02.01.2023, for modification of the extent in the patta and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight [8] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
