ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2024 and consequently, grant family security fund and other pension benefits of petitioner's deceased father namely, V.Kuppusamy (PPO No. 1226-R) under Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Pensioner Family Security Fund Scheme.

2. Heard Mr.A.Aruljenifer, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Ramanathan, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent.

3. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's father V.Kuppusamy retired from service on 31.05.1987 and died on 03.12.2017. The petitioner is a widow daughter of the said Kuppusamy. The wife of Kuppusamy has predeceased him on 15.06.2006. The petitioner is said to be depending upon her father as she was a widow daughter and was living with him.

5. As per the contention of the petitioner, there is a scheme called Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Pensioner Family Security Fund Scheme, under which, family security fund will be provided. Since the petitioner had made representation dated 08.01.2024 to the respondent to provide the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Pensioner Family Security Fund Scheme and the same has 3/6

not yet been considered and no order has been passed so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 08.01.2024 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
