: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the detenu or his corpus, namely, Sundaramoorthy, S/o.Raman, Male, aged about 28 years, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

*********** [Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner is the father of the detenu - Sundaramoorthy, aged about 28 years, who went missing since 05.06.2017 and the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent police. The second respondent police have secured the detenu and produced before us. The detenu would state that there is some difference of opinion between himself and his parents and earlier, they have entered into an arrangement/agreement, by which the detenu decided to lead an independent life. We advised the detenu to speak to his father and sort over the problem, for which purpose, we have directed the detenu to appear before the second respondent police today at 04.00 PM and the petitioner shall also come to the Police Station so that he could meet his son. Thus, we find that there is no illegal detention of the detenu.
