PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to conduct an enquiry in respect of the property situated in S.No.143/3 at Ayyanadaippu Village, Thoothukudi Taluk and District and cancel the patta stands in the name of the respondents 5 to 11 consequently praying to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to issue patta in the name of the petitioners by considering their representation dated 13.01.2025 and 27.01.2025 and decide the same on merits and dispose it within the period stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioners have sought for cancellation of patta issued to the respondents 5 to 11 and they have given a representation on 13.01.2025 in this regard. The petitioners seek expeditious disposal of the said application for cancelling the patta issued to the private respondents.

2. Considering the limited scope of the relief, the writ petition is disposed of directing the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.01.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity to the petitioner as well as the respondents 5 2/4
