O R D E R

Seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to appoint a competent police officer in the rank of Inspector of Police to conduct the investigation in the case in Crime No.5 of 2016 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent herein and to file a final report within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Police has submitted that after investigation, the respondent Police has closed the case in Crime No.5 of 2016, as mistake of fact and filed the closure report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tenkasi, on 14.01.2016.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this criminal original petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
