O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The notice dated 19.03.2025, issued by the Block Development Officer / fourth respondent, is under challenge in this writ petition.

2. The impugned notice indicates that the house No.78 was allotted to the petitioner, however, he is not in occupation of the said house, contrarily, he has permitted some other person to occupy the said house and encroached upon the other house No.66. In view of the said irregularity, the impugned order has been issued.

3. The petitioner is at liberty to submit his explanation / defence statement, if any, in response to the impugned notice and on receipt of any such explanation, the fourth respondent / Block Development Officer shall look into the same and take all enforcement actions to remove the illegal

occupant from the subject house, by following the procedures as contemplated under the relevant statues and rules. The said exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
